Ottawa

Ottawa covers a much larger geographic footprint than its downtown core suggests. Government offices, central neighbourhoods and courthouse activity sit alongside far-reaching suburban communities and business districts.

LOCAL GEOGRAPHY

Assignments may involve Centretown, Kanata, Nepean, Barrhaven, Orléans, Gloucester and Vanier. Travel distance, urban versus suburban access and the relationship between the centre and outer communities all influence planning.

COURT INFORMATION

The Ottawa Courthouse at 161 Elgin Street is the principal Superior Court location in the city and handles civil, criminal and family proceedings.
